About Us

A Studio Shaped by Place, Craft, and People

SOLA is an interior design studio working across residential, hospitality, and marine spaces, shaping interiors that feel considered, functional, and made to last.

Start a Project

We believe interiors are resolved rather than decorated. Every project begins with how a space will actually be used, then shapes light, material, and proportion around that reality.

Our Story

From Private Homes to Life on the Water

Our work began with residences: homes and villas where the brief was simply to make a space feel like it belonged to the people living in it. That habit of designing around daily routines still shapes everything we do.

The same approach carried us into hospitality and, in time, onto the water. Designing for liveaboards taught us to resolve comfort inside tight constraints, and that discipline now feeds back into every home and café we work on.

What We Stand For

The Principles Behind Every Decision

  • Considered, not decorative

Every element earns its place. If a detail does not improve how a space is used or felt, it does not stay in the drawing.

  • Honest materials

We choose finishes for how they age, feel, and behave in their environment, not only for how they photograph on the first day.

  • Built to last

Layouts, joinery, and details are resolved for years of daily use, humidity, and movement rather than a single season of trends.

  • Made with local craft

We design with the makers who will build the work, so drawings stay buildable and the craft stays visible in the result.

  • Designed with you

Clients stay part of the process from brief to handover, because the interiors that work best are the ones shaped together.

How We Work

A Clear Path From Brief to Handover

  1. 1. Discovery

We map how the space will be used, who uses it, and the constraints it has to live within.

  2. 2. Concept

Spatial direction, visual language, and material foundation are set before anything is detailed.

  3. 3. Design Development

Layouts, joinery, lighting, and finishes are resolved together until the whole scheme holds.

  4. 4. Documentation

Drawings and specifications are prepared so the design can be built accurately and priced clearly.

  5. 5. Execution

We stay involved through construction and installation to keep the built result true to the design.
